Building a Better Tomorrow
In the spirit of fostering positive change and making a lasting impact on the world around us, co-elevate is dedicated to giving back to the community. With a focus on four key sectors of giving back– Medical Illness, Those in Need, the Next Generation, and Our Neighbours– we aim to create a ripple effect of positive change that extends far beyond our immediate reach. Here are some of our recent contributions.
1. Blood Drives for a Healthier Tomorrow
We contribute to the well-being of our community through organized blood drives. By partnering with local blood banks, we actively engage in efforts to address the critical shortage of blood supply, supporting individuals battling medical illnesses and ensuring a healthier tomorrow.
2. Stocking Stuffing and 519 Pledge
Recognizing the importance of uplifting those facing adversity, our organization hosts a stocking stuffing event before the holiday season. This initiative provides essential items to individuals experiencing homelessness or living below the poverty line, ensuring that everyone has something to open on Christmas. In collaboration with 519 Pledge, we contribute to annual sock drives, donating 520 pairs of socks to help keep the less fortunate warm during the colder months.
3. Internal Fundraisers and Charity of the Year
Under our mandate, we extend our reach to the communities in which we operate. “Contributing to the betterment of our communities” is evident in our internal fundraisers, where employees come together to contribute towards a charity of the year. This charity is chosen through a mass poll across the office, reflecting the passions and concerns of our diverse workforce. Last year, we proudly supported the Canadian Cancer Society with a donation of $2,750. As for the upcoming 2024 year, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on mental health by supporting the Canadian Mental Health Association. Aside from the charity of the year, other internal events and fundraisers are dedicated to different causes such as food and toy drives.
4. Our Strength is in the Sum of our Parts
As the curtains closes on another year of hard work and shared victories, it is time we show some appreciation for all the hard work our employees have put in this past year. Our appreciation party took place late November at Palasad— it was an evening dedicated to team building and celebrating our collective achievements. Palasad's vibrant atmosphere provides the perfect platform for team bonding, with activities like bowling and pool fostering a sense of unity and shared accomplishment. Together, we enjoyed some delicious food, raised a toast to the triumphs of the past, and eagerly anticipate the opportunities that lie ahead. This celebration is not just a capstone to the year—it's a testament to the strength of our team and the camaraderie that propels us forward.
As we continue to evolve and grow as an organization, our commitment to “Contributing to the betterment of our communities” remains unwavering. By actively engaging with various sectors and addressing the unique needs of our community, we strive to create a more compassionate and supportive society.
