The Village of Tansley Woods, Phase II & III


Phase II is a ten storey retirement and senior's apartment building. The design team, including the construction manager, went through an analysis of different structural systems. It was concluded after costing process, that a structural steel frame with composite deck would be the most advantageous solution.

Phase III is also a ten storey retirement and senior's apartments. The building utilized hollowcore precast slabs with shear walls and delta beams. The beams were designed over the centre of the building to account for the drive aisle in the basement parking garage.
