Clair Hills Retirement Residence

The Clair Hills Retirement Residence is 124,000 square foot, four storey + basement retirement home located in Waterloo, ON with 104 individual living suites and 20 assisted living suites. The building’s floor system is comprised of hollowcore precast planks and the roof is comprised of steel deck supported by open web steel joists (OWSJ). All of these are supported by masonry block walls and conventional steel bearing frames. The mansard roof construction was created using structural steel stud framing and provides a striking silhouette of the structure when viewed from a distance.
