Welcome Kayla & Zak!
Gray & Fick is excited to start the year off by welcoming two new members to our team!

We believe that hiring the right people for the job is key to success. That’s why we have adopted a proactive approach to hiring.
We work in a fast-paced and demanding industry which means we had to develop a hiring policy that allows us to maintain capacity for new work while ensuring we can meet our customer’s needs. Our proactive approach to hiring coupled with our capacity-first mindset means we are rarely too inundated with existing work to take on the next project.
Meet our two newest team members:

Kayla Arscott has joined Gray & Fick’s drafting team as our newest technologist! Kayla graduated Fanshawe College in 2021 with an Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology. She has an architectural background with previous co-ops at London & Middlesex Community Housing, producing architectural drawings for their community housing projects and working on solar wall proposals.
Fun fact: Kayla is an avid reader and baker. It is rare that you won’t find Kayla with a book on her!

Zakaria Louwahi is our newest Structural Engineer! Zak recently obtained his professional licence (P.Eng.) as a practicing engineer in Ontario. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba (2017). Zak brings over 5 years of building design and construction support experience to the team. He enjoys challenging himself and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and materials for design.
Fun fact: Zak enjoys exercising and has a twin brother who is also an engineer!
