Dressing up for Hallowe'en is great to begin with, but it's even better when we can raise money for charity while we're at it!
Almost everyone loves dressing up for Hallowe'en, and structural engineers are no exception! Hallowe'en falls on a Saturday this year (with a blue moon to boot), so we decided to dress up on Friday instead. Not only was it a fun thing to do on a Friday, but it was also great for charity! Participants and others in the office donated to our charity fund, which gets distributed to various charities throughout the year. Costumes themselves ranged from an awesome Paperbag Princess and Captain Kirk (although everyone thought I would be an even better redshirt...) to a deer and lumberjack, with more in between. The costumes were great this year, and we were super happy to raise some money for our charity pool too!
