Blood Drive - November 2020

Gray & Fick is happy to support blood donations to support our community.

At the end of the day on November 16, 2020, seven Gray & Fick employees traveled to the Canadian Blood Services Donor Clinic in London, ON to give blood, including a first time donor and a new employee! These donations go to helping people in need of blood, whether it be to treat blood disorders, help in surgery and accidents, or other causes. Coordinating a company blood drive was a bit delayed this year due to the pandemic, but we are still committed to helping our community through blood and other donations, and plan to step it up next year!

Hospitals, clinics, and other medical services are always in need of blood, with the blood supply typically ranging from 3 to 10 days (depending on blood type). Many medical procedures require blood, whether it is to fight cancer, treat blood disorders, or help car accident victims, but less than four percent of eligible donors give blood each year.
