8 Days of Core Values: Day 7
We'll be looking in more depth at one of Gray & Fick's core values: Commitment to excellence, beyond motivation.

Motivation can be defined as the reason behind actions and willingness, and can result from both conscious and unconscious factors. It can be the drive behind actions, tasks, and projects, but can be very hard to naturally generate as projects extend into weeks, months, and sometimes years. Motivation is great at getting projects off the ground, especially with the high energy, planning meetings, and kickoff events that occur at the start, but we need to ensure we see the project through. Our discipline and habits are what enable us to commit to excellence long term, which becomes more and more critical the longer the project. It doesn't matter whether you define a project as a structural task, bettering ourselves, improving our community, or supporting one another, we are committed to seeing these things through and providing great solutions and results for clients, our team, and ourselves. Discipline is what sees us through to the end success, beyond when motivation has waned.
