Victoria Park Bandshell
Community
The new bandshell structure incorporated the existing foundations and existing bandshell ground floor slab. The new bandshell roof was to mirror the previous design. The auxiliary attached building has upper clerestory windows and incorporated brick fascias. The roof structure for the bandshell was rolled steel trusses. Each truss had a different curve radius and supported a 3" structural deck. The trusses were designed in-house. The auxiliary buildings were also a steel frame capable of supporting the roof and suspended brick panels. The sloping circular bandshell roof needed to be detailed accurately to fit into the existing foundations. Additional foundation work was required within the existing structure to accommodate new concentrated loads.
